The European Commission launched the new European Research Area (ERA) corona platform which provides useful information, dedicated support and real-time updates on funding opportunities for coronavirus related research and innovation. Part of a larger coordination effort between the EU and European countries, the platform maintains a dedicated section for national activities, including funding opportunities, initiatives and projects in the Member States and other European countries.
The ERA corona platform is one of the 10 priority actions of the first ERAvsCorona action plan. Since the Covid-19 outbreak, the scientific community is facing unprecedented challenges in the search for solutions against coronavirus. Good coordination and quick mobilisation of funds are essential to help researchers and innovators to meet those challenges.
