On November 24, 2020, the European Commission published the policy report "Gendered Innovations 2 - How inclusive analysis contributes to research and innovation", which was prepared by the Horizon 2020 expert group "Gendered Innovations 2 / Innovation through Gender". The publication contains summaries of fifteen interdisciplinary case studies funded under Horizon 2020, including a current case study on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on gender equality. In addition, the report offers methodological approaches and definitions of sex, gender and interdisciplinarity and concrete recommendations for action are given for the upcoming framework program for research and innovation, Horizon Europe.
