The new program "Austrian Climate Research Programm Implantation" (ACRPI) supports implementation-oriented research projects with high practical relevance in the fields of climate change adaptation and climate protection, which address current issues of decision makers. Based on existing expertise, new scientific findings are to be developed that fill and complement knowledge gaps in implementation.
This pilot call for proposals supports research projects with a maximum duration of nine months that have a clear implementation focus and practical relevance. This can be expressed on the one hand through a sector-specific and technical view or focus on local specifics. The overall goal is to break down important questions from decision makers to concrete application aspects, so that the project results can serve as a scientific basis for downstream implementation steps.
Pilot call topics:
- Adaptation to extreme weather events (50% of the budget of the call).
- Climate resilient spatial planning & climate proofing (50% of the budget of the call).

The maximum gross budget per project is 50,000 euros (including all fees and taxes). A budget of up to 500,000 euros is available for the pilot tender. All material, personnel, travel and third-party costs directly related to the project are eligible.
