The prize is awarded for a dissertation project submitted to an Austrian university, accepted for supervision and not yet completed, which deals with flight and migration, the integration of migrants or the changes in societies as a result of migration. Theses in all social, humanities and legal disciplines are eligible for submission. The start of the doctoral / PhD program must not be more than three years ago from the submission deadline.
