The fifth Mathematics and … Call 2016 of the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF) is decided.

Out of 67 short proposals 22 have been invited for further elaboration. On December 2, 2016 a jury meeting took place in Vienna gathering 8 international jurors. During the meeting, the jury extensively discussed the submitted proposals on the basis of at least three international reviews per proposal as well as based on their own expertise and formed their funding recommendation. On December 13, 2016 WWTF Board of Directors fully confirmed the jury’s funding recommendation.

Within the Call 2016, 7 projects with a total amount of € 4,1344 m will be funded:
