[News] Work Programme 2023/2024 published
The European Commission published the main Work Programme 2023/2024 of the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation on 6 December 2022. This includes the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2023-2024 Health. All call topics are described in detail (content, submission deadlines, budget).

The work programmes Cluster 1 "Health" are prepared by the European Commission for a period of two years. In the work programme, all call topics for the years are described in detail (contents, submission deadlines, budget).
The six topics of Cluster 1 are:
- Staying healthy in a rapidly changing society
- Living and working in a health-promoting environment
- Tackling diseases and reducing disease burden
- Ensuring access to innovative, sustainable and high-quality health care
- Unlocking the full potential of new tools, technologies and digital solutions for a healthy society
- Maintaining an innovative, sustainable and globally competitive health industry

Alternative funding opportunities
For the first time, Horizon Europe introduces so-called missions as EU-wide research and development instruments. Missions are designed to achieve ambitious goals to address major societal challenges through interdisciplinary innovation. Thematically relevant for Cluster 1 is the "Mission: Cancer".
