The FFG Forte program promotes cooperative R&D projects and R&D services in defense research. The aim is to adapt Austria's security measures to the challenges of the 21st century. The FORTE defense research program focuses exclusively on core military areas and covers all security policy-related research topics that cannot be addressed by the national security research program KIRAS.

Please note that a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is required for submission to the FFG programs KIRAS and FORTE.

If the application amount is less than €100,000, the MOU must be signed by the head of the organizational unit (dean/head of center). Please contact the third-party coordinator of your organisational unit at least two weeks before the submission deadline.

If the application amount exceeds €100,000, the MOU must be signed by the Rectorate. Please contact the colleagues in the National Funding Team at least two weeks before the submission deadline: foerderungen.national@univie.ac.at.
