On 28 November 2025, the FFG will launch the next Expedition Zukunft START 2025/2 call, which will fund ambitious projects in an early phase with the potential for groundbreaking innovations and a major social impact.

The following project types are supported as preparatory measures for RTI projects: 1) use cases for an existing technology, 2) root cause analysis, 3) elaboration and testing of a technical concept, 4) strategy and implementation planning of major change processes.

Funding is up to € 80,000 for a maximum of 12 months. The funding rate for research institutions is 80%.
